Turquoise Dreams out NOW

Last Friday, my novella Turquoise Dreams will be published by The Wild Rose Press, specifically The Scarlet Rose line of The Wilder Roses

Nita Ramirez Gonzalez and Calder (Call) Calverton have denied their attraction to each other for years. Now both are having erotic fantasies they can't ignore, especially when their dreams have them experiencing those fantasies through the legendary lovers who died 150 years ago.

This story came about due to the nagging… um, encouragement, Yeah, yeah, The Encouragement of WAP (Writers At Play) mates Tawny Weber and Leslie Dicken. My goal for the book was to write it strictly by the seat of my pants (pantser style) and to write ten pages a day. Leslie was curious about writing for the more erotic lines and wanted to see how I wrote for them. Tawny just likes to nag, much like WAP mate Trish Owens who's currently cracking the whip about getting edits on another book finished.

My husband and I had been to Carlsbad Caverns earlier in the year. I knew I wanted to put that experience into the book. I did more research and decided on AZ, particularly in the Four Corners region. After studying the various cultures who have left their mark on the region, I had my characters.

From beginning the concept through finishing the book, it took fourteen days. To Leslie and Tawny, it took too long. Tawny got the chapters every night and steamed up her monitor reading them. Leslie had to have me send the chapters via her personal email account because she was afraid her company's filters would censor them.

When I was finished, Tawny (Ms. Color Coordinator Plotter) had to applaud that I could write the story without an outline. Leslie became My Grasshopper Who Has Done well. Her newest Scarlet Rose story Improper Nights will be released by The Wild Rose Press on May 9.

It was a fun story to write. The edits suggested by Scarlet Rose Sr. Editor Diana Carlile have tightened it up and strengthen it.

And re: my experience at Carlsbad Caverns: I had reservations to explore one of the "wild" caves, but passed out on the way up the mountain due to heat and altitude. I recreated that the physical aspects of that incident in Turquoise Dreams

Hope you check out Turquoise Dreams and enjoy it. There's an excerpt on my website.

April Showers - Time to enjoy a wet Excerpt -

Amanda took a seat on the other side of the
tub from the stairs. “I just want to rinse off.”

She slid under the water. Her hair floated for
a moment before she came back up. She stood and
started past him. He stayed her with his hands on
her shoulders. “There’s no hurry. The boys won’t be
back with our clothes for at least fifteen ticks.”

Her green eyes narrowed. “Did you tell them
to delay?”

His hands slid down her slick muscular arms
to her hands. “I wanted you to have a moment to
relax and unwind.”

“There’s no way I’m going to be able to calm
down.” Amanda’s antsy squirming and warm
hands on his chest told him she was burning up
with need. “I feel as if my blood is jumping through
my veins.”

He took her seat and pulled her down on his
lap. The hard pounding of his erection screamed for
release again. His body wanted her as much as she
needed him. “I could help.”

The bobbing of Amanda’s breasts in the clear
water caught and held his attention. He seized the
creamy swells and toyed with the tips. Her eager
hands slid down his chest, not stopping until she
had his cock. She lifted her hips and directed him
into her heat.

“I don’t think this water is helping.” She
sighed when his mouth covered her wet nipple. “It
must have been a lifetime since you touched me.”

Have a great day of fun-loving sex.

Drive Me Crazy Now Available

My first Wilder Roses release -- Drive Me Crazy -- is now available for puchase. I am so very excited!!! Thank you to my wonderfully amazing editor Diana, and to Angela Anderson, who created this beautiful cover. I hope everyone enjoys Drive Me Crazy.

Race track owner, Alyssa Palmer has loved Newt Rodgers since they were in junior high, but being the local dirt-track race car driver, he has beautiful women standing in line to jumpstart his engine. An almost episode in the ladies room at Trudy's bar only makes Alyssa that much more aware of him.

Newt can't forget the night he had Alyssa Palmer--his best friend’s sister for Pete’s sake--up against the stall wall...or the lacy red underwear he nearly got past before they were interrupted. Who knew the grease-stained tomboy he'd worked alongside in the pits would be hiding such treasures? But he was more than ready to find out what else was under her hood.

Newt's chances to take the checkered flag with Alyssa are threatened when a corporate backer wearing high heels and a tight skirt offers to sponsor him in the big time. He'd be a fool to turn down the opportunity, and Alyssa knows she can't compete--not with the elegant beauty or her money. Can she stand by while he races toward his dream of fame and fortune, or will she finally put the pedal to the metal and make a move of her own?
